Due to new projects and company growth my client is looking for an automation tester to join its market data team. This is a great opportunity to join a busy program and project with an iconic Australian Brand in the heart of the CBD, close to transport links. The role requires someone to create and/or enhance a framework with Java. You will be expected to add scripts to it, which will be mainframe and database scripts, so experience in SQL would be highly regarded, as would BDD and Cucumber. This role is not classed as senior and does not require someone to build a framework from scratch. Other skills required: A minimum of 5-6 years in software testing. Solid experience in programming with core Java Expert level understanding of object oriented programming (OOP) Have about 2 to 3 years of experience in test automation using Java and Maven. Have good working knowledge of Git Have good working knowledge of Cucumber based automation framework Experience in Web or Client based application test automation Experience in writing SQL queries to validate database results Experience in writing Test cases for different phases of testing like System Testing, E2E Testing, UAT testing etc. Good understanding of testing APIs and backend applications Worked in an environment with a structured test process, performing System and System Integration testing. Proven experience in test design based on in-depth technical and requirements analysis. Experience in contributing/writing Test Strategy, Test plan, Test summary etc. Experience with test management tools such as JIRA and confluence. You will be a hardworking, self starter who can handle data heavy, API projects.
