Employed by Webuild, the role on offer is a full-time role based on-site in Orchard Hills North. This is an ideal next step opportunity for someone that has recently completed a degree in Engineering or Project Management and would be interested in learning about the construction of the track itself that will be laid across 23km of alignment. Responsibilities: Understanding project requirements and completing all duties assigned by the team Shadowing senior staff members, asking questions, and assisting wherever possible Raising concerns and making suggestions for improvement where appropriate. Observing health and safety regulations at all times. Participating in meetings and attending workshops and other training initiatives. Analyzing data and writing reports according to specifications. Taking notes and sharing your findings with your Supervisor and other relevant stakeholders. Establishing professional relationships with staff. Maintaining a high degree of professionalism and diligence. Completes all outstanding defects as a matter of priority within scope of works. Understands the basis and value of WH&S committee and attends site safety meetings on a periodic basis Monitors recommendations from WH&S Committee and takes action promptly on issues raised Participates in the preparation of work activity assessments in terms of risk analysis/ safe work method statements procedures Assesses high risk activities and in conjunction with appropriate personnel recommend approach to be taken Reports accidents and incidents to Superiors on the Project in line with procedures set down and provide for the appropriate support to manage such Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems Assist with preparing project status reports and change orders Regularly contributes to team/toolbox meetings and performs as a member of the team Criteria: Graduated recently with a Tertiary Qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or Project Management Previous experience in construction would be advantageous Strong verbal and written communication skills A passion for construction What’s next?
