Location: Sydney, NSW Salary Range: $80,000-$90,000 (Competitive, commensurate with experience) Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, test, and support computer hardware, operating systems, and network equipment, including routers, switches, LAN/WAN, DNS, VPNs, and DHCP. Analyse, develop, interpret, and evaluate complex system designs, architecture specifications, data models, and diagrams for the development, configuration, and integration of computer systems. Research, analyse, evaluate, and monitor network infrastructure to ensure networks are configured for optimal performance and reliability. Plan and implement networking projects, and systems involving Windows Server 2003-2019 including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, RDS, etc Monitor, support, test, and troubleshoot computer systems and networks, specifically Azure and AWS and Microsoft Windows Server related issues in a timely manner to maximise network performance Manage software and system updates and analyse possible vulnerabilities Manage user access level for computer networks and systems Configure and manage firewalls, domain controllers, network devices, such as routers, switches, and Microsoft Windows Server to maximise network efficiency and security Review and submit recommendations for improvements required for Microsoft Windows server related issues Set up advance monitoring and analyse collected network traffic data to ensure systems security Manage the Data Centre, IT and Communication Infrastructure and troubleshoot issues within SLA timeframe Prepare documentation for all new and existing projects to keep track of network faults, statuses, and maintenance procedures Maintain network equipment and review and recommend improvements required for all Azure and AWS enquiries Qualifications and Experience: To succeed in this role, you will need: A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum 4 years of proven experience in network and systems engineering Australian experience is preferred Familiarity with virtualization, databases, scripting, and system optimization. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Skills and Competencies: In-depth knowledge of computer networks, system architectures, and IT infrastructure. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration. Windows 2008-2019 Server Active Directory/Azure AD administration Security assurance (e.g. ASA, Fortinet, USG, ACL’s, vulnerabilities removal, site-to-site VPN) Cisco UC Microsoft M365 administration/management Different vendors DNS, DHCP, SSO management VMWare ESXi and Hyper V administration Hardware support (server, desktop, laptop) Network knowledge (TCP/IP, WAN, LAN, MPLS, WiFi, NAT, proxy) Routing/switching knowledge (Cisco, Huawei, DrayTek experience and certification valued) Working with a range of Backup/Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity solutions (Datto and Veaam experience valued) Monitoring systems (PRTG, Datto RMM, Auvik) Remote support/management systems (Dato RMM, VNC, TeamViewer, DeskDirector) Ticketing system (AutoTask) Small project management experience – e.g. Server refresh projects, physical to virtual migrations, Office 365 migrations, security improvement If Interested: Please address the following in your application: Do you have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field?
