Our client, a leading technology firm, is looking for a talented individual to join their growing team and contribute to the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of cutting-edge security systems. In this role, you will play a key part in protecting the organisation’s technology infrastructure and safeguarding valuable information assets. Role Overview: As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and enhancing the company's defensive technologies and security systems. You will work closely with multiple internal teams to ensure seamless integration of security protocols, while also contributing to ongoing risk mitigation and threat response activities. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain advanced security systems to detect and respond to threats in near real-time. Manage and configure a variety of security tools including EDR, Data Loss Prevention, SIEM, and email security. Work in partnership with Cyber Threat Analysts to support incident response, threat hunting, and vulnerability management. Monitor health and performance of security services to meet service level agreements (SLAs). Continuously improve threat detection capabilities and reduce false positives. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure security controls are effectively implemented and aligned with organisational goals. Identify opportunities for automation to enhance security operations. Required Skills and Experience: At least three years' experience in cyber security operations, including incident response and vulnerability management. Hands-on experience with tools such as Microsoft Sentinel, Purview, and SQL/KQL for security analysis and configuration. Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO27001, and ASD E8. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and escalate risks when necessary. A solid understanding of security technologies, network architecture, and cloud-based security services.
