ConsultANZ is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to join one of our clients to lead the way in designing and optimizing cutting-edge processes in small, medium and large-scale projects, both for Australia and abroad. Role and Responsibilities Lead process engineering team in design and implementation. Define project scope, objectives, and timelines. Set guidelines for installation, testing, and maintenance. Design equipment, components, and plant systems. Identify and recommend process improvements. Conduct tests to validate process changes. Support engineering assurance (HAZIDs, risk assessments). Mentor team members and provide technical guidance. Inspect plants to ensure performance. Align engineering, production, and business goals. Optimize resource use based on data analysis. Stay current with industry trends and technologies. Prepare process line, equipment, and instrument lists. Requirements: BEng Mechanical Degree or BEng Chemical Degree qualified. 10 years technical design experience. Exposure to process and structural disciplines such as EI&C Proven background working in the Engineering Consultancy field. Worked on a project in a lead function (IE: Senior Project, Senior Mechanical Engineer or in another leading capacity) Must have Oil & Gas and/or Petrochemical or Water experience.
