About the role: To excel in this role, you will be a qualified and experienced as a Senior Design Engineer . This role requires the ability to create, design, strategically plan future products and programs in civil engineering for the region. This includes hands on experience with the use of Civil 3D or AutoCAD, ability to lead a small team to deliver projects with a great outcome while meeting deadlines, knowledge and interpretation of relevant legislation, standards, codes of practice, stakeholder management and budget management including external funding requirements. You will need to understand grant application and acquittal process for local government programs. This role requires excellent communication skills as you will be responsible for delivering on multiple projects in the region. Key Responsibilities: The ability to lead a small team of engineers to complete projects with high degree of standards while meeting deadlines. High level of analytical, design, programming, scheduling, and monitoring skills. High degree of knowledge of engineering design, project and construction management. Advanced abilities using Civil 3D or AutoCAD. Grant application and acquittal process knowledge for programs in local government. High degree of knowledge and interpretation of relevant legislation, standards, and codes of practice, Strategic Planning of future projects with the Aim of achieving a program of works that is 2 years in advance, The Successful Candidate: Bachelor’s degree or Higher in Civil Engineering Experience in Local government is a MUST. Excellent communication skills to coordinate a team. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Self-Motivated with the ability to work with the team and autonomously to provide positive outcomes. A Valid Class “C” Driver’s License. A Valid Police Clearance Check within the last 3 months. The ability to pass a Pre-employment Medical.
