About The Role We are seeking a talented and experienced Civil Engineering Draftsperson (BricsCAD 2d drawing sets and QGIS maps) to become a valued member of our busy multidisciplinary engineering office based in Hornsby, NSW on a full time basis. The role presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced civil engineering draftsperson wishing to build on their existing career. It involves working full time from our Hornsby office, preparing detailed drawings, plans, maps, sketches, charts, tabulations, and designs to support our engineers, on projects with a wide range of civil engineering works including: Civil engineering design of earthworks, roads, regrading, etc. Assessment and design of stormwater quality, quantity and drainage solutions. Flood assessments, remediation and management plans. Design of water supply and sewer reticulation systems. Salary of $85k per year including superannuation on offer. About You We are seeking candidates that take pride in their work, have a positive attitude, are punctual, reliable, hardworking and able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment. It is essential for the applicants to have: A diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or other highly relevant fields. Good (minimum Competent) verbal and written English communication skills. Permanent or temporary (valid for minimum 2 years) full time Australian work rights. The ability to work in a culturally diverse and multi disciplinary team environment. Positive and proactive attitude and be motivated, team player, and eager to learn. Minimum 5 years of civil drafting experience in engineering consultancy including minimum 2 years of local experience in NSW. Demonstrated high level of BricsCAD 2d drafting skills (using xref, layer state, annotation scale, paper space, publish, sheet set, etc.) to prepare multi sheet civil engineering drawing sets including earthwork, roadwork, drainage, and services drawings. Demonstrated high level of QGIS skills to prepare large map sets including site analysis, flood assessment, geotechnical, contamination, and site investigation maps. Any of the following experiences and qualities will be considered favourable : Familiar with the general process of land development (DA, CC, etc.) and civil engineering design components (site analysis, earthworks, roads, drainage, etc.). Experience with Lisp coding for BricsCAD and/or Python scripting for QGIS.
