As we continue to build our Australian-based operations , we are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Watch Engineer to join our Brisbane-based team and ensure maximum aircraft availability with minimal disruption . The Role You will be responsible for keeping Texel Air’s fleet flying safely and efficiently by coordinating maintenance activities, troubleshooting aircraft defects, and managing AOG situations . This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure to support aircraft availability and schedule integrity. Key responsibilities include: - Maximising aircraft availability by coordinating inputs from maintenance providers and internal teams. - Managing AOG situations and working closely with maintenance providers to resolve issues promptly. - Monitoring and clearing deferred defects to maintain a safe and airworthy fleet. - Providing troubleshooting support for aircraft defects in collaboration with engineering and maintenance teams. - Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements across CAA NZ, CASA, FAA , and Part 43, Part 91, Part 121, and Part 145 frameworks. - Keeping key stakeholders informed , ensuring smooth communication across departments. What We’re Looking For To be successful in this role, you will need: - 10 years of certifying experience as a Licensed Engineer in Line or Base Maintenance. - 3 years of experience on B737 NG in a Line Maintenance or MCC environment . -Expertise in maintenance planning processes in an airline or maintenance organisation. -Strong understanding of Technical Log/E-log and MEL processes . -Knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS) and best practices in operational safety. -Proficiency in My Boeing Fleet applications and technical manuals . -Strong MS Office skills for reporting and coordination. -A proactive, solutions-driven approach to problem-solving in a dynamic environment. This role requires shift work, availability outside normal office hours, and occasional travel across Australia, New Zealand, and internationally.
