The DevOps Engineer is responsible for bridging the gap between development (Dev) and operations (Ops) teams in order to improve collaboration, integration, and automation across the entire software development lifecycle. The role focuses on continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, automating software deployment, maintaining cloud infrastructure, and ensuring systems run efficiently and securely. Description As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between development and operations teams to streamline workflows and enhance collaboration throughout the software development lifecycle. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines that automate code builds, testing, and deployments, ensuring smooth and efficient integration of code into production. In addition, you will develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC), automate manual processes, and manage cloud infrastructure to ensure the scalability, availability, and performance of systems, with a particular focus on security and cost-efficiency. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will take a hands-on approach in deploying and managing cloud services, leveraging your expertise in Azure and tools like Terraform, Bicep, or Pulumi. Your role will also include troubleshooting system performance and scaling issues, implementing monitoring and alerting solutions, and ensuring adherence to security best practices and industry standards, such as ISO 27001. Your ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be key as you contribute to the continuous improvement of deployment processes, making a direct impact on the reliability and efficiency of our digital services. Skills And Experiences Your Skills and Experience Technical Expertise: Proficient in CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and GitLab CI. Strong knowledge of microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure cloud platforms. Experienced with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code. Automation & Scripting: Skilled in automating tasks using PowerShell, Bash, and Python. Expertise in managing cloud infrastructure for scalability, security, and performance. Problem-Solving & Communication: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis. Excellent communicator, bridging technical and non-technical teams. Collaboration & Flexibility: Adaptable and able to work independently or in teams. Passionate about collaborating with diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Certifications in Azure highly regarded Over 3 years’ experience in an Azure Dev Ops environment.
