We deliver projects across the health, retail, residential, education, commercial, aged care, and leisure sectors nationally, with expertise in electrical , mechanical , hydraulic , fire and stormwater engineering and environment-sustainable building services design. We are looking for a motivated and collaborative individual to undertake their industry experience with us, in the position of Undergraduate Engineer. There are opportunities available for all disciplines. This role is an unpaid vocational placement opportunity of up to required 480 hours , approximately 24 hours per week (hours negotiable based on individual requirements) with flexibility around working days in order to balance your study requirements. During your placement, you will gain hands on practical experience through exposure to experienced and professional engineers and drafters. On your days in the office, you will work on a range of projects as a part of our Team; assisting with drafting and engineering design. Key responsibilities will involve, but are not limited to; Preparing building services design drawings and schematics using AutoCAD (and Revit) Preparing and interpreting documentation Preparing and assisting in engineering design work Preparing and assisting in engineering reports Assisting engineers in daily activities What we offer: A guided 12-weeks (equivalent) Industry Experience Undergrad Program Hands on placement to reinforce your university studies A positive and healthy working environment A professional and supportive team Flexibility – to ensure you can balance your health, wellbeing, and study commitments To be successful for the placement, you will; Be currently undertaking a Bachelor in Engineering – Mechanical or Electrical , ideally in your 2nd or 3rd year. However, we are open to all students. Possess an interest in building systems design, applicable codes, and standards . Be proficient in AutoCAD and Revit or be keen to become proficient. Be computer literate and know how to work in MS Suite and pdf editing tools. Possess attention to detail and high levels of accuracy. Have great time management and organisational skills, and the ability to meet strict deadlines. Have great communication skills, communicating both verbally and in written form. Ability to work independently and as a part of a team. Be willing to learn, be very proactive, reliable, and have great problem-solving skills.
