Due to a strong pipeline of work, we're looking for an experience Electrical Project Engineer to join our Civil Department team. We have a long pipeline of work and are looking to expand our team. We're looking for someone who enjoys working on complex infrastructure projects and thrives in a fast-paced environment where you are given autonomy to lead your team and influence outcomes to achieve best for project outcomes. As far as responsibilities go, you will: Assist team in managing all phases of project delivery, from concept and design to construction and commissioning of Traction Power Substations. Track contractor performance, ensuring quality and timely delivery of work. Work with the Project Manager to understand project schedules. Following short term programs and ensure timely provisions of resources. Identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring project continuity and success. Review of electrical design drawings and documentation against contractual obligations, industry standards, safety compliance, best practice and ensure standardisation across projects. Coordinate design interfaces with Civil/Building/Pavement Project Engineers and other discipline leads. Perform QA/QC inspections, review/develop ITP's and commissioning support for electrical scope of work (incl. factory acceptance tests and site acceptance tests). Identify risks to health and safety for workers and public and follow through on SWMS, special processes and corrective actions. Compile data (records) for potential claims (variations/EOT) in preparation for submission to Client Collate field records and input data for accurate daily productivity and monthly forecasting costings. How you will connect to the role: You will hold a Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent with circa 5 years experience as an Electrical Engineer You will, ideally, have experience in Construction in the management of electrical sub-contractors. Experience working in traction power substations would be advantageous. Experience in project reporting with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel skills will be needed along with Electrical engineering knowledge of HV/LV construction, maintenance and commissioning practices.
