Description The Role We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic IT team at Automic. In this role, you will collaborate with software developers, analysts, and engineers to ensure adherence to quality practices and processes. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of cutting-edge products, enhancing your skill set while contributing to diverse projects within our registry product streams. The ideal candidate will have relevant QA experience, a strong understanding of testing methodologies, and effective communication skills to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Familiarity with automation tools and programming languages is highly desirable. Responsibilities Plan, execute, and maintain functional and regression testing to ensure high-quality software releases. Establish a strategic automated testing framework designed to enhance efficiency and mitigate ongoing risks throughout the software development lifecycle. Adapt the testing strategy and prioritise tasks as necessary in response to evolving project requirements and timelines. Continuously strive to implement tools and best practices that enhance the quality and reliability of the product. Act as the integration point between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that testing processes are comprehensive, accurate, and effective. Skills And Experiences Demonstrated Capabilities Tertiary education in Computer Science or Information Technology preferred. 3 years' experience as a Quality Assurance professional or Software Tester. Comprehensive understanding of various testing methodologies, including their respective phases as well as their depth and breadth. Experience in testing web applications, ensuring functionality and user experience meet quality standards. Proven ability to translate requirements, user stories, or features into comprehensive, repeatable, and clear test cases. Strong communication skills that enable you to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. Awareness of data security principles and best practices for secure testing. Familiarity with SQL databases, including writing queries and invoking RESTful services using tools such as Postman. Exposure to programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, C#, or Ruby is advantageous. Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Protractor, or similar is highly desirable. Familiarity with mobile applications testing would be a valuable addition to the skill set.
