Your opportunity: As our valued Transmission NOC Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring a high level of service availability through effective network and customer fault management. You’ll draw on your expertise in network operations, maintenance, and configuration to monitor and rectify network faults, ensuring optimal service delivery. You'll make an impact by: Supporting network surveillance and fault rectification. Monitoring the transmission network and managing network outages and service degradation conditions. Resolving customer service faults within SLA and adhering to fault management processes. Completing allocated planned work and service provisioning tasks. Carrying out proactive network maintenance duties. What you’ll bring: Minimum 3 years of Telecommunications experience in a similar role. Good general IP technology knowledge with router, switch, network, and IP protocol (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIPv1 and v2). Understanding of IP/MPLS VPNs and hands-on experience in Network Operations, Maintenance, and configuration. Relevant industry certifications, such as CCNA, and relevant tertiary qualifications. Operational understanding and experience with SDH, DWDM, WIFI Networks, DSL, VDSL2, HFC, ATM networks, and Ethernet Transmission Networks. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, multitasking, and attention to detail. Ideally, you will also have: Experience in IP or Voice technologies. Experience in NOC or Network provisioning. Ability to learn technical and business processes from documentation. Strong problem-solving skills, multitasking, working well under pressure, and attention to detail. What's in it for you?
