Firmware Engineer — Inner West, Sydney Region
Expired

Job Description You’ve probably heard this quote from Henry Ford before. “If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses.” I imagine what he really means is people usually want improvements to what they already know instead of imagining something completely new. And that’s what you’ll be doing here, designing firmware for products, creating a new category in consumer electronics. You’ll do it in an environment that challenges its engineers to focus on the problem, not just the immediate solution. Where time and resource is allocated to R&D for exploratory projects that might not have immediate returns. A safe space to imagine something new. More about the job… You’ll contribute to the product roadmap with a mixture of board bring up, PCB and firmware design where you’ll have more creativity than usual because this is all greenfield new product development. With the guidance and mentoring of Senior Engineers, you’ll own more of your own projects and lead your designs through the full engineering lifecycle. In 12 months, people will be buying something you designed. So what do you need? You’ve got a relevant computer science or electrical engineering degree and anywhere between 1 and 5 years of experience designing firmware. The day-to-day tech you’ll work with is C for embedded systems (both bare metal and RTOS applications) and STM32. Want to find out more?
