About the position: You will need to have a good understanding of Civil and Structural engineering and can demonstrate on the job experience, can confidently make project-based decisions, and you'll enjoy the rewarding satisfaction of empowering and equipping graduates and drafting teams. As a result, you will need to a teachable and willingness to learn and the intrigue to absorb. This position will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of civil, structural, hydraulic, electrical engineers, design technicians, architects, environmental scientists and project managers. Position requirements: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field Minimum of 5 years demonstrated ‘on the job’ experience Proficiency with AutoCAD, AutoDesk Civil 3D, SPACE GASS, Drains Familiarity with stormwater drainage and sewerage design Sound knowledge of relevant standard and building construction codes Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities Project management capabilities Site inspections awareness As the successful candidate you will be expected to support the Senior Engineer and the Design Team by providing technical advice to clients and handling general enquiries. You will be someone that is highly organised, detail-oriented, an innovative thinker that loves the challenge of problem-solving, being adaptable and possessing strong interpersonal and communication skills.
