What This Role Offers Play a key role in setting up surface infrastructure at our brand-new Gossan Valley mine. Work across mining, process plant, and infrastructure projects. About the Opportunity An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Engineer to join our Golden Grove operation in Western Australia. In this role, you will report to the Engineering Superintendent and work on an 8:6 roster. Your focus will be on managing site mechanical and mining projects, ensuring safe, efficient, on-time, and on-budget delivery. This is an 18-month contract with the potential to be extended to 24 months or become permanent. Your primary responsibilities will include: Leading the delivery of capital projects from scoping to commissioning. Managing contractors to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to standards. Conducting risk assessments, JSEAs, and investigations while implementing safety and risk controls. Developing and reviewing equipment strategies to ensure alignment with standards and statutory requirements. Providing mechanical and / or mining engineering expertise to solve operational and maintenance challenges and support decision-making. Driving change management processes, including plant modifications, procedure updates, and operational readiness. About You Our ideal candidate will have strong experience in fixed plant project engineering, with expertise in mineral processing plants and underground fixed plant projects (e.g. pumping stations, fans, and ventilation upgrades). Other key skills, experience, and qualifications: A tertiary qualification in mechanical or mining engineering. Supervisory experience in high-risk work. A current C-class manual driver’s licence.
