NXT GIG is looking for a talented Network Security Engineer to enhance our security infrastructure and protect our organizational networks from cyber threats. In this essential role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network security solutions to safeguard sensitive data and ensure the integrity of our systems. You will work diligently to monitor network traffic, identify vulnerabilities, and respond to security incidents promptly. Collaborating with IT teams, you will help develop security protocols and best practices that bolster our defenses against unauthorized access and data breaches. Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and respond to security incidents as they arise. Conduct regular security assessments and penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities in the network. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security best practices are applied throughout the network infrastructure. Develop and document network security policies, procedures, and response plans. Provide support for security technologies including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other network security mechanisms. Stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends and threats to identify potential improvements to security posture. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field. Proven experience as a Network Security Engineer or in a similar role focused on network protection. Strong understanding of network architecture, protocols, and security technologies. Experience with security products such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and improve network security. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with various teams effectively. Relevant certifications (e.g., CCSP, CISSP, CEH) are highly desirable.
