Job Description About the Client Our client is a key player in the national security community, providing critical services to defend against global threats and advance national interests through intelligence, cyber security, and offensive operations. About the Role We are seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join our team in Canberra, ACT. The successful candidate will design test cases and scripts under their own direction, linking to predetermined criteria and recording and reporting test outcomes. You will participate in design reviews to assist in the development of design test plans and test conditions. This role involves working on a major ICT capability development project aimed at integrating multiple dependent projects within the national security framework. The Successful Candidate The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability to work in a complex, fast-paced environment. Key duties and responsibilities include: • Designing test cases and test scripts under own direction, mapping back to pre-determined criteria, and recording and reporting test outcomes. • Participating in requirement, design, and specification reviews, and using this information to design test plans and test conditions. • Applying agreed standards to specify and perform manual and automated testing, automating testing tasks, and building test coverage through existing or new infrastructure. • Analyzing and reporting on test activities, results, issues, and risks. • Undertaking any other tasks as requested by the technical team. While experience with or knowledge of government information security policies and standards is desirable, it is not essential. The role requires an active minimum NV1 security clearance, and candidates must be willing to undergo additional security assessments prior to engagement. What is on Offer • Duration: 12 months with 2x 12-month extensions. • Location: Canberra, ACT. • Working Arrangements: 5 days a week, up to 40 hours per week with potential for flexible working arrangements. • Security Clearance: Active minimum NV1 security clearance required, with willingness to undergo further security assessments. • Other Requirements: Willingness to undergo additional suitability assessments.
