The opportunity We are looking for a Project Engineer to work across our Project Management and Estimating teams in Melbourne to contribute to our portfolio of Infrastructure clients that are seeking our advisory services on a range of projects. No day will be the same where you work across bridges, tunnels, water supply, marine, roads and rail projects. This role would suit someone with a Project Management consulting background, or someone looking to step into consulting with a Project Engineering construction background. You will: Manage the design development of complex infrastructure projects Manage construction phase activities to ensure high quality outcomes Assist with the development of delivery and construction strategies Coordinate and manage the engagement of specialist engineering, construction and commercial consultants Have the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of state and national significant projects Have developed core project management skills such as cost management, quality assurance, reporting, preparation of monthly progress claims and cash flow projections Assess and make determinations of claims in accordance with contractual agreements Manage project timelines and budgets including identification and management of project risks Experience working within the live construction environment Collaborate and work closely with our clients to achieve exceptional outcomes To be successful in this role you will need to have: At least 4 years’ experience working on civil infrastructure projects in a consulting or Tier 1-2 contractor delivery environment A bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably civil or equivalent) An understanding of WHS processes and policy Forecasting and cost control experience in a commercial environment The ability to work effectively in a team as well as autonomously Great communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
