12 12 12 month contract - July 2025 start $185 - $275 per hour (inc-Super) - market estimate TSPV security clearance required Contribute to single information environment for the Joint Force (JP2289) Our client, a large Federal Government Organisation, whose focus is on foreign signals intelligence, military operations, cyber warfare and information security, are Seeking the experience of a Lead Engineering Manager for a long 121212 month contract, based in Brindabella Business Park, Canberra. Duties of the Lead Engineer Manager Lead the design process and communication of high level infrastructure projects to enable the development of solutions that meets current and future project needs. Establish engineering governance and reporting processes within the agreed framework to enable the Executive to make timely decisions on the key areas affecting schedule, cost and quality. Develop, implement and manage the engineering artefacts which delivers capabilities required to enable the project direction. Manage project level engineering risks and issues escalated to the program by supervisors, peers, business stakeholders and/or project managers. Author, present Executive level information and decision briefs on engineering and quality management issues as required. Provide leadership and direction to ensure a high-level of integration and consistency across engineering, project functions and other Defence projects. Champion the project's engineering management approach, along with quality management processes which consider the appropriate legal and compliance frameworks Skills and Experience Required A deep understanding of compliance against national and international standards. The ability to identify & plans systematic corrective action to reduce errors and improve the quality of the systems and services. A deep understanding of system design principles & the selection of appropriate systems design life cycle models. The ability to lead system design activities for strategic, large and complex systems development programmes. Proven experience developing effective implementation strategies consistent with specified requirements, architectures and constraints of performance and feasibility. Ability to draft plans and drive activities to develop organisational systems integration and build capabilities including automation and continuous integration.
