Mechatronics/Automation Engineer — Sydney, Sydney Region

COMPASS Recruitment is working with an established R&D company that create innovative technology products, harnessing the latest in technology, to improve their clients process environment. This role will be working within a close knit team of highly skilled engineers with a forward thinking attitude to utilising technology. To be successful in this role you will need; A degree in Mechatronics, Automations or other similar engineering discipline. A good working knowledge of PLC programming of Codesys, Rockwell, Siemens or other relevant system. Experience in programming in Structured text. Exposure to PC Programming using C++ .NET etc would be beneficial. Experience in Mining &/or Meat processing sectors would be advantageous. Comfort in being required to travel to regional project sites during commissioning phases of projects. At least 2 years experience in a similar role, being involved in R&D projects. An interest in AI and emerging technology would be beneficial.
