We have a fantastic opportunity based in Canberra, ACT for a senior level Engineering Manager to join our Federal government client, focused on National security, contributing to the success of their project This is a 12 month contract with additional extension options available. Applicants must possess a current TSPV clearance. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Demonstrate extensive understanding of engineering methodologies, systems, and procedures, translating them into effective strategies. Team Management: Lead work teams, plan and manage resources, and exercise technical delegations on behalf of technical authorities. Quality Management: Plan, resource, and implement a quality management system, coordinating Test and Evaluation activities to support project delivery. Engineering Governance: Establish governance and reporting processes to enable timely executive decisions on schedule, cost, and quality. Risk Management: Manage project-level engineering risks and issues, ensuring successful delivery of project, system, or platform outputs. Executive Communication: Author and present executive-level information and decision briefs on engineering and quality management issues. Resource Management: Manage engineering resources based on priorities, budget, risk, and executive direction. Technical Skills: Provide leadership and direction to ensure high-level integration and consistency across engineering, project functions, and other Defence projects.
