JOB PURPOSE The Lead Engineer plays a pivotal role within our Engineering team, leading the team on projects. This role is responsible for ensuring the achievement of project-specific discipline objectives, including timeframes, cost, and quality benchmarks (scope of work). At Delonix, we expect that the Lead Engineer will conceptualise engineering solutions and guide the team in detailing these solutions. The Lead position is considered a crossroad in a career pathway, marking a potential transition to either a Principal Engineer or a Management role. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Display a high degree of professionalism and leadership in all interactions. Maintain a positive attitude and serve as a role model for the team, exemplifying integrity, and honesty, while also ensuring that projects are completed within allocated timeframes and budgets, and that quality standards are met or exceeded. Identify challenges and areas for improvement in projects. Lead in developing and implementing innovative solutions, driving continuous improvement and technical excellence, while also ensuring that solutions are cost-effective and align with project objectives. Organisational Accountabilities Comply with all organisation policies, processes and procedures; To always present professionally to work; Support in development and implementation of organisation procedures and processes, where deemed necessary by top management; Responsible for their own health and safety at work; Responsible to report workplace hazards where identified; Wearing and using of personal protective equipment where necessary; Maintaining focus on enhancing customer satisfaction; Participation and responsibilities in Delonix Insider meetings; Working within applicable controls documented in organisation safe work method statements; Ensuring to work within applicable process, quality, OH&S and environmental risk controls, and Reporting and participation in investigations and corrective actions of incidents and nonconformances as required.
