They specialise in forensic inspections, defect reporting, and engineering advocacy to support insurance, legal and compliance requirements. The Role As a Forensic Engineering Consultant your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Conduct forensic inspections of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings to identify defects, non-compliance issues, and structural failures. Document inspections with detailed notes and photographic evidence. Prepare clear, concise, and fact-based reports outlining findings, recommendations, and cost estimates. Manage client engagements from consultation to project completion, ensuring expectations are met. Maintain accurate time tracking, billing records, and project documentation. The Successful Applicant In order to be successful in this role you will ideally have: Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related field). Experience in forensic engineering, building inspections, or defect assessment. Strong knowledge of Australian Building Codes, Standards, and construction practices. Excellent report writing skills with attention to detail and clarity. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, insurers, and legal professionals.
