Senior Hydraulic Engineer — Sydney, Sydney Region

OUR CLIENT Vivid Recruitment is looking for a Senior Hydraulic Engineer to lead and deliver projects for our client based in Sydney. Currently, they have work across a variety of sectors, including sports, education, healthcare, aged care, retail, mixed-use, hotels, commercial, hospitality, etc. THE ROLE You will be responsible for the following: Conduct site inspections and assess existing systems to develop innovative solutions. Design hydraulic services, including water, sewer, stormwater, and wet fire systems. Prepare documentation using Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and/or Revit. Coordinate with local authorities for connection applications and permits. Lead project coordination meetings with architects, project managers, and consultants. Manage RFIs throughout the tender and construction phases. Provide support to builders and contractors with RFIs and site inspections during construction. Mentor graduates and junior staff, guiding their professional growth. ABOUT YOU You will have the following skills: Bachelor of Engineering or relevant Certificate IV. MUST HAVE LOCAL EXPERIENCE Permanent work rights in Australia A team player Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Bluebeam. Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit MEP (preferred but not essential). 6 years of consulting design experience with the ability to work independently. Chartered with Engineers Australia and/or FPAA (advantageous but not required).
