The Company is headquartered in Melbourne, Australia and has support offices in the UK, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Guatemala, and Bahamas We are seeking an experienced Senior Golang Engineer to lead the build, run and optimisation of our trading platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building high-performance, low-latency systems, crucial for real-time trading operations. Key Responsibilities: Develop and run performance-critical trading applications using Golang. Design systems that ensure ultra-low-latency trading experiences with high throughput and scalability. Implement robust and efficient code that integrates with various financial instruments and complex trading infrastructures. Maintain and improve existing systems with a focus on reducing latency, optimising performance, and enhancing data integration. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and code reviews for peers. Who are you? A minimum of 6 years professional experience with software development. Golang experience essential. This is a Go-first role. You will be familiar with WebSockets and Golang idioms for synchronisation and orchestration. Experience with or demonstrated understanding of fault-tolerant, high-volume, critical information flows, such as trading systems, payment services, and/or financials. Trading systems strongly preferred. AWS experience is required. Experience with or demonstrated interest in C++. RDBMS experience, MySQL preferred. Query optimisation and troubleshooting experience highly regarded. Demonstrated ability to share knowledge and guide others. Curiosity, willingness to learn, and to document that learning. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in writing. Experience with or demonstrated interest in functional programming Why Eightcap?
