Job Title : Quality Engineer (Software Tester) - Junior to Senior Level Location : Ballarat, Victoria Contract : Initial 12-month contract Citizenship : Must be an Australian Citizen Job Description : We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer (Tester) to join our client's team in Ballarat. This role is open to candidates from junior to senior levels of experience. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through rigorous testing and analysis. Key Responsibilities : Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Perform manual and automated testing to identify defects and ensure product quality. Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and provide feedback on testability. Document and track defects, and work with developers to resolve issues. Participate in code reviews and provide input on quality standards. Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies. Must have : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Experience in software testing, quality assurance. Strong understanding of testing methodologies and tools. Managing defects through Test Management Tool (Azure DevOps) and proactively drive defects and blockers to resolution. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Australian Citizenship is mandatory. Preferred Skills : Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks. Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
