Do you love to learn and be challenged? RMA’s support of local governments in their assessment of development applications and operational works applications is growing. We are seeking an individual with interest in undertaking assessments and providing recommendations to local governments which provide sound engineering judgement, address council’s planning schemes, and provide for development progression in the regions we supply this work to. The opportunity You can grow – You will have the ability to take an active role in leading and building upon RMA’s current strong record in this space, with direct access to clients. You will be well supported – Be surrounded by a collective of specialist engineers to support you in your assessments across RMA’s disciplines, not only providing greater and more thorough assessments for our council clients, but building your knowledge. You can develop new skills – Be exposed to and have opportunity to learn and work directly with development clients, leading and managing their engineering deliverables, where we are not playing any assessment role – this opportunity allows you to work on projects from both angles. NB. This role can be based in either our Brisbane or Toowoomba office locations. About you To succeed in this role you will: Hold a Bachelor of Civil Engineering/Technology (desirable) Hold, or are working towards RPEQ status (desirable) Minimum 3 years’ post graduate industry experience in development assessment of local government planning schemes for engineering works, as they relate to development applications & operational works Strong familiarity, understanding and ability to reference relevant standard and guidelines, such as the Queensland Urban Drainage Manual, Queensland Streets, TMR’s design manual, Water and sewer codes (WSAA and SEQ) Strong written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated strong problem solving and analytical skills What we offer A dedicated coach, career development planning and monthly 1:1s A fun, friendly & relaxed team culture developed by our people, for our people Friday afternoon social get togethers Birthday leave Whole of organisation annual Strategy Day Annual all staff Christmas Party Bi-monthly technical in-house training sessions Direct access to key multidisciplinary Principal Engineers to supercharge your mentorship and career Interested in joining the team?
