The Opportunity We are seeking an engineering leader to guide a diverse team in a fast-paced environment. You will focus on managing system-level engineering including specialty engineering, system integration laboratory facilities and field deployable integration and test activities for deployable communications hardware and software. The BCS is a cutting-edge networking solution that integrates custom and off-the-shelf technology, providing superior communication capabilities for ADF personnel. Its modular design allows for rapid deployment and customization for various missions. Responsibilities Leading a multi-disciplinary engineering team within the BCS program. Delivering capability outcomes for BCS customers. Planning and estimation of technical work scope and development of team project plans. Execution of project plans in accordance with defined schedule and cost parameters. Effective stakeholder engagement within Boeing, suppliers and customers. Staff management including recruitment, development and performance. Fostering and developing inclusive, diverse and high performing teams. Experience/Qualifications Essential: Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent industry experience. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and lead a diverse team. Experience in complex engineering development projects. Australian Citizenship is required to meet defense security requirements. Desirable: Engineering or technical degree that meets the chartered requirements of Engineers Australia. This role offers flexibility in work arrangements, with a preference for candidates based in our Brisbane office and/or Wacol production facility, where the majority of the BCS Program team operates.
