Principal Engineer | Gas Networks — Derrimut, Brimbank Area

Description THE OPPORTUNITY Our Gas Networks Team is experiencing continued success and is thriving, which has created an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Principal Engineer . This role is based in our Derrimut office and reports to the Engineering Services Manager . You will lead and inspire the Engineering Team in crucial gas distribution and transmission projects throughout Victoria. Some of the key responsibilities include: Provide technical information and is available to review information for the Project Manager. Alongside the Engineering Services Manager, oversee the Engineering Team’s effective operation and ensure compliance with all legislative and contractual obligations. Assist with obtaining Transmission Pipeline permits and ensuring regulatory compliance, including reporting to clients and regulators on completed work. Help ensure compliance with Systems Operations regulations, including the reporting of completed work to clients and regulatory bodies. Maintain positive and proactive relationships with Downer partners and key clients during all project phases. ABOUT YOU Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or an equivalent qualification is essential. Extensive relevant industry experience. Knowledge of Gas Distribution Networks and pressure regulation facilities preferred.
