Manufacturing Project Engineer — Caringbah, Sutherland Area

Company Perks: Competitive Salary - $120,000-$150,000 Career Growth Opportunities Supportive Work Environment Employee Wellness Programs Work-Life Balance Key Responsibilities: Assist with all aspects of factory automation and improvements, including concept development, design, specifications, documentation, scheduling, machine refurbishment, and commissioning. Supervise a team of internal tradespeople, technicians, and external contractors (both locally and internationally), ensuring smooth project completion. Oversee the installation of new and modified machinery, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and operational requirements. Provide hands-on support in the installation and commissioning processes. Create and maintain comprehensive mechanical/electrical documentation for commissioning and future maintenance. Contribute to the procurement of necessary parts, working closely with the Procurement Team to source from both local and international markets. Communicate effectively with all team members, ensuring smooth information flow and supporting internal training processes led by Production Trainers and Team Leaders. Essential Qualifications & Skills: Tertiary qualifications in mechanical and/or electrical engineering. Proficiency in using and interpreting AutoCAD (2D & 3D) for design and technical planning. Proven experience in leading projects within an engineering/manufacturing environment, especially with 24/7 continuous production lines . Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing small teams and coordinating cross-functional activities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, understandable terms for staff at all levels. Knowledge and experience in plant automation and machinery upgrades.
