ABOUT THE ROLE Are you an experienced electrician or technician looking to take your career to the next level? You will leverage your hands-on electrical trade background to design, maintain, and troubleshoot automation and control systems for industrial applications. This role offers the chance to build on your strong foundation in electrical work while expanding your expertise in control systems and automation. You'll apply your technical knowledge in electrical systems, equipment testing, and problem-solving to ensure optimal system performance. Troubleshooting and optimising PLC systems (Allen Bradley). Conducting equipment testing and factory acceptance testing (FAT). Ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations in all electrical and control system work. Making sure equipment (new builds or overhauls) is fit for purpose and meets all relevant safety and quality standards. Providing hands-on electrical support, from low voltage to high voltage applications. Overseeing capital and maintenance projects related to electrical design and automation. Supporting condition monitoring, protection testing, and system improvements. Collaborating with cross-functional teams in mining, energy, and manufacturing sectors. ABOUT YOU Bachelor's degree or a diploma in Electrical Engineering and electrical trade qualification. Hands-on experience as an electrician/technician. Experience in fault finding, breakdown response, and electrical/automation projects. Strong knowledge of PLC systems and industrial automation. Experience with equipment testing and factory acceptance testing (FAT). Strong understanding of safety protocols, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance.
