12 12 month contract - ASAP Start $135 - $170 per hour (inc-Super) - market estimate / negotiable ACT, NSW, QLD, SA, VIC or WA NV1 Security Clearance preferred Our client, a Commonwealth Government organisation whose focus is to provide support to Australian's living with disability, are Seeking the experience of a Senior DevOps Engineer for a long 12 12 month contract based in ACT, NSW, QLD, SA, VIC or WA. Duties of the Senior DevOps Engineer Leading the design, development, deployment, and support of the client's Cloud & Data Infrastructure. Prioritizing and managing the work queue to ensure timely delivery of key initiatives. Ensuring that all solutions adhere to integration best practices. Play a key leadership role in project teams, utilising an agile development framework. Engaging with stakeholders to define project requirements, set priorities, and deliver results. Skills and Experience Required Extensive hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure & services, with proven ability to design, implement, & manage scalable cloud solutions. Strong experience in building & deploying DevOps practices, tools, & continuous delivery pipelines, including GitLab, GitHub, Artifactory, & Jira, to streamline development workflows. Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform for automating infrastructure provisioning and management. Proficiency with version control systems like Git, combined with a solid understanding of agile development methodologies to support collaborative, iterative development. Ability to write and maintain moderately complex code across multiple programming languages, including Python, JavaScript, and Golang. In-depth experience with containerization, cluster deployment, and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring efficient application delivery and management. Experience with database deployment and administration, particularly with Postgres and MySQL, for efficient data management and performance optimization (desired). Proficiency in administering Azure infrastructure, expanding multi-cloud capabilities alongside AWS (desired). Strong understanding of networking, including designing, managing, and troubleshooting network configurations in cloud environments (desired). Familiarity with HashiCorp Vault for securing sensitive data and managing secrets across cloud infrastructure (desired).
