Operations Support and Commissioning Engineer — Kidman Park, Charles Sturt Area

We now have an exciting opportunity available for an Operations Support and Commissioning Engineer to join our Networks team in Kidman Park SA, on a fixed term contract for 1 year. Reporting to the Manager, Operations Support and Commissioning, you will play a key role in implementing industry best practices for providing engineering support to Operations and ensuring commissioning and handover of new or upgraded assets is performed in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner. Key Responsibilities Provide first line engineering support to Operations and Capital Delivery departments with high standard customer service and accountability Liaise with Operations and Capital delivery project managers and supervisors to ensure engineering support, commissioning/ decommissioning tasks and project handover activities Develop and implement industry best practice for reliability centred maintenance Prepare commissioning procedures for new or upgraded assets or decommissioning procedures Ensure new assets, upgrades and decommissioning of assets is completed with all required documentation About You Extensive experience in the design, construction, operation and maintenance of gas distribution and transmission assets Experience in operations and commissioning/decommissioning Detailed knowledge of gas network and associated infrastructure design construction and maintenance policies, procedures and practices Solid knowledge and understanding, interpretation and application of national, industry Codes of Practice, Standards, Acts and legislation that are relevant to the gas distribution/transmission industry Chartered Member of a relevant engineering institution or Engineers Australia (preferred) Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ) (preferred) About the Team Networks manages and operates local distribution networks and transmission pipelines that deliver gas to around 1.4 million households and businesses across Australia. This is an exciting time for the Networks team, we are growing and expanding with many new projects, including 2032 Olympics. Also, we have a strong culture of continuous improvement and working towards Net Zero with the introduction of renewable green gas into the Gas Networks.
