Key Responsibilities: Provide Technical Leadership & Collaboration with your Team Lead the collaborative efforts with medical operations, product management, customer and finance teams and define the success for new initiatives, translating complex technical details into meaningful insights that drive decision-making. Bridge Data and Engineering, working cross-functionally to deeply understand our platform, ensuring data reflects the essence of our business processes. Guide and mentor team members, fostering a data-driven culture and elevating the entire organization’s data literacy, including mentorship of analytics engineers, and analysts through the intricacies of data. Own and Enable Analytics at Mosh Lead the way in defining metrics that allow us to track our progress against OKRs/Targets. Guide as a Subject Matter Expert in BI, producing well documented models in Looker and paving the way by educating business users on the data. Promoting Excellence in Data Modelling Champion excellence by setting high standards in all practices, including documentation both conceptual (how does the business process work) and technical (how does the logic work) - with well structured SQL/LookML models that meet business needs. Lead best practices across Data in areas such as: Data Governance - PII management, Group/Role access policies Lineage - DAG performance/cost optimisation and ensuring scalability Knowledge sharing - guiding the team through the intricacies for reliable self-service Enhance the Modern Data Stack & ELT Practices Lead the definition and build of robust Analytics Engineering workflows, implementing modern ELT practices with github CI/CD automation. This includes: Designing and optimising our transformation pipelines, ensuring modularity and maintainability of our data modelling architecture. Setting the standard by applying Kimball methodologies with dimensional models that support optimised performance for the data warehouse (Redshift/Snowflake). Promoting data observability/data quality testing to elevate trust in our analytics environment. Qualifications and/or Experience Required: 6 years in Data Analytics/Data Engineering/Analytics Engineering Proven success as a data leader within mid sized company prior, with demonstrable impact on company performance Experience with dbt preferred Redshift/Snowflake for warehousing Strong ELT proficiency Expertise in SQL is a must. Proficiency with Python/Jinja will be well regarded Expertise in customer data orchestration Data & analytics modelling proficiency Strong expertise in data transformation Strong experience with BI tools (both in setup & as a hands on contributor) Strong proficiency with Looker will be well regarded A passion for solving problems via data insights, with the critical thinking skills to convert raw data into meaningful recommendations Systems thinking You excel at seeing the big picture, designing resilient data architectures, and anticipating edge cases and future needs Clear communication Excellent written and verbal communication skills Adept at simplifying the complex and translating to a diverse range of audiences A strong documentation mindset to standardise best practice as our team scales The ability to talk directly with leadership to advocate for the data team’s needs Background in Machine Learning/Regression Modelling We are on the path to developing a data platform that enables our next generation of insights, and having hands on experience as we get there is a bonus Data Warehousing Expertise Comfort with warehouse tuning and DAG management Experience with deployment of warehousing solutions What’s on offer We hire teammates that share our values, believe in our mission and are passionate about the future of healthcare.
