About the role We have a permanent opportunity joining our Operations Services team, you’ll provide specialist electrical engineering expertise for electrical design, complex investigations, testing analytics and verification, operations and maintenance technical support for high voltage electrical assets and systems across WA. Based in our Canning Vale office, this role will be reporting to our Team Leader – High Voltage Maintenance. What the role will involve Develop and maintain the Water Corporation’s processes, systems, standards and procedures for high voltage (HV) electrical assets and systems ensuring quality and compliance with regulatory requirements Manage the development and delivery of complex designs and reports for the solution of HV electrical engineering problems within agreed budgetary and time constraints Review and validate tenders, proposals, prepare reports and issue recommendations Develop and implement testing and commissioning plans that meet required standards Undertake and coordinate complex investigations of HV electrical assets and systems including the planning and financial analysis for assessment, development, and remedial works Lead complex HV electrical asset improvement projects Monitor and review the performance of HV assets and systems to ensure capability is maintained and meets regulatory compliance Key skills and experience You’ll have a degree level qualification in electrical engineering, a nationally accredited HV switching operator qualification UET12 and UEP12, along with extensive experience in the development of HV planned maintenance activities in compliance with Australian Standards. You’ll also have experience with design and maintenance of HV electrical infrastructure assets. Your demonstrated leadership skills with values and behaviours that contribute to a constructive and high-performance culture with the ability to collaborate, negotiate and influence both senior internal and external stakeholders will ensure success in this role.
