SUNLAND CARAVANS Position : Full Time Location : Queensland Salary : $70,000 - $80,000 a year The award-winning Sunland Caravans have been building Off Road Caravans of the highest standards in Caboolture for over 15 years. They are currently looking for experienced electrical engineer to join their team on permanent full-time basis. Position Summary: The Electrical Engineer will play a critical role in enabling Sunland Caravans to achieve its design, manufacturing, and testing objectives. This role involves designing and developing panels and enclosures for caravans, ensuring compliance with Australian standards and regulations, and managing energy systems within the caravans. The Engineer will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet client specifications and maintain the highest quality standards in electrical engineering. Key Responsibilities: Design and plan the internal electrical systems of caravans, including lighting, outlets, appliances, and renewable energy sources such as solar panels, ensuring they meet client specifications and comply with Australian standards. Manage the energy sources within caravans, including batteries, generators, and solar panels, and develop systems for proper energy distribution. Ensure all electrical systems comply with safety standards, state SIR rules, and energy consumption metering/management regulations. Perform necessary inspections and document control of completed projects, including as-built drawings, factory acceptance test reports, and product technical datasheets. Supervise maintenance, fault detection and repair work on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. Oversee the quality assurance process for all products to ensure they meet engineering and safety standards. Integrate and optimize the performance of solar panels and other renewable energy systems within the caravans. Design and implement effective battery management and charging systems within caravans. Provide technical support to customers regarding electrical systems and offer consultancy services for all electrical needs of the caravan. Write reports, compile data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects, and prepare applications for statutory approvals. Estimate material, labor, and construction costs for budget preparation. Utilize a range of computer software to develop detailed designs and generate standard drawings, including general arrangements, single line diagrams, and control diagrams using AutoCAD. Collaborate with customers, engineers, and other stakeholders to discuss existing or potential engineering products or projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements. Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications Electrical Degree qualified Minimum 2 years relevant experience Experience across quality management systems and procedures in electrical contracting field Excellent communication and technical expertise in electrical engineering Strong Microsoft windows and office skills Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team Solutions based mindset If you think you meet the above criteria, please apply now.
