Observability Engineer — Sydney, Sydney Region

Daily Rate Contract - Observability Engineer (Dynatrace) - 6 months - Sydney Hybrid Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Dynatrace / Observability Engineer to deploy, manage, and optimize monitoring tools for comprehensive application and infrastructure visibility. In this role, you will work closely with various teams to build and maintain custom dashboards, integrate observability into CI/CD workflows, and proactively address performance issues. Key Responsibilities: Deploy and manage Dynatrace for full-stack application and infrastructure monitoring. Create tailored dashboards and alerts for IT Ops, Development, and Business Operations teams. Integrate observability tools into CI/CD pipelines to detect performance regressions early. Collaborate with teams to define and implement SLA/SLO/SLI metrics that align with business objectives. Troubleshoot performance issues across both Linux and Windows systems, as well as cloud environments (especially Azure). Implement synthetic and real-user monitoring to analyze and capture application behavior. Promote and maintain observability best practices throughout the organization. Deliver presentations, demos, and roadshows to business stakeholders on observability initiatives. Essential Skills & Experience: 3 years of hands-on experience with APM tools such as Dynatrace (preferred), AppDynamics, or New Relic. Strong understanding of key observability concepts (metrics, logs, traces, and events). Experience in administering and monitoring Linux and Windows systems. Proficient with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and related Azure services. Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions, along with Azure Monitor. Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.) for automating tasks. Strong ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and business audiences. Experience with monitoring Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications is advantageous.
