Lead Mechanical Engineer — Brisbane, Brisbane Region

ConsultANZ is looking for a skilled Lead Mechanical Engineer to oversee and optimize cutting-edge projects in Australia and abroad, focusing on Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Water industries. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a team of engineers and drive process innovation across large-scale projects. RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead and mentor a team of process engineers in designing and optimizing mechanical systems. Review and refine project workflows, ensuring alignment with objectives, safety standards, and engineering principles. Drive process improvements and optimize efficiency through data-driven analysis. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define scope, timelines, and project goals. Conduct plant inspections and assist in engineering assurance processes (HAZIDs, HAZOPs, etc.). Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve engineering capabilities. REQUIREMENTS: BEng in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering. 10 years of technical design experience in engineering consultancy. Strong background in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Water industries. Proven leadership in senior engineering roles (e.g., Senior Mechanical Engineer, Project Lead). Experience with process and structural disciplines (EI&C).
