Australian Citizenship Required With a baseline Security Clearance Canberra based opportunity 12 months with 2 12 months extensions We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to come and work with a large government department to help implement, manage and retire the infrastructure (including physical, virtual, networking and cloud infrastructure) that supports digital services. Your role will be focused on managing and maintaining Microsoft and Cisco Collaboration communication infrastructure including the configuration, deployment, technical security, and operations. This is a dynamic and fast paced area of our Technology Services group. Key duties and responsibilities Maintaining and supporting Microsoft and Cisco collaboration Infrastructure. Providing broad technical support for project build, test, and solution deployment activities. Scheduling and performing regular maintenance and updating of supported products. Performing technical operations for ICT solutions, maintain technical system information in service tools and prepare a range of technical and corporate documentation. Escalating issues that adversely impacts on policy, performance, and/or service. Collaborating with stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure effective and timely implementation of business solutions. Microsoft Windows and Cisco Collaboration Engineering Expertise M365 Active Directory Configuration Management Cisco collaboration infrastructure including Call Manager, Contact centre solution, Webex video conferencing, Cisco Meeting Room devices. Key Selection Criteria IT infrastructure: Provisions/installs, configures and maintains infrastructure services and components. Monitors, measures and reports on infrastructure load, performance and security events. Identifies operational issues and contributes to their resolution. Carries out agreed operational procedures, including backup/restore, using supplied infrastructure tools and scripts. Carries out agreed system software maintenance tasks. Automates routine system administration tasks to specifications using standard tools and basic scripting. Programming/software development : Designs, codes, verifies, tests, documents, amends and refactors simple programs/scripts. Applies agreed standards and tools to achieve a well-engineered result. Reviews own work. Systems installation and removal : Installs or removes hardware and/or software, using supplied installation instructions and tools, including handover to the client. Uses standard procedures and diagnostic tools to test installations, correct problems, and document results. Records details of all components that have been installed and removed. Assists users and follows agreed procedures for further help or escalation. Contributes to the development of installation procedures and standards.
