We're looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join our Delivery Project Services (DPS) team, based in Perth, Australia. This role is responsible for the provision of project and technical engineering support and coordination for development and delivery of projects as part of the Delivery Phase Services studies and projects. The primary purpose is to support the Project Manager, manage packages, coordinate project deliverables and the required inputs in close collaboration with the technical leads, ensuring the scope of works, project cost and schedule, qualitative requirements and overall client objectives are met. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Provide technical leadership in the planning and execution of project engineering deliverables and work packages on projects Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate engineering elements seamlessly Provide technical expertise and technical reports to clients, following both client and GHD guidelines Development of detailed project plans outlining scope, timeline, budget, and resource requirements Oversee the day-to-day execution of work packages or elements within a project, ensuring alignment with project goals Monitor project progress (including use of schedules, earned value and other progress reporting tools), identify and address project and technical challenges, and implement solutions Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements; address concerns; manage expectations, scope, cost and schedule; and provide technical expertise Communicate project updates, technical milestones, and ensure client satisfaction Visit client sites to perform onsite duties as required Coordinate and develop general engineering deliverables in collaboration with the project team including reports, cost estimates, schedules, scopes of work and plans Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure the technical integrity of project deliverables. What you will bring to the team: Bachelors degree in Engineering, with a preference in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil) Project management knowledge and experience, with formal qualifications preferrable, but not essential Proven experience as a Project Engineer with a focus on major or capital projects, with between 6 and 14 years at an engineering consultancy Solid understanding of engineering principles, codes and standards Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients and project teams Proficiency and understanding of project management tools.
