About the Opportunity: This Level 2/3 generalist role involves a variety of tasks, including desktop support, network deployments, troubleshooting, server and storage management, and cybersecurity. With no separate Networking or Infrastructure teams, you’ll have direct access to all areas of the system, ensuring a broad and dynamic role. You’ll use your expertise in managing internet-facing networks, including establishing peering relationships and ensuring interconnectivity, to help support and maintain a robust IP network across multiple sites. This position offers a unique opportunity to work across different domains while contributing to the stability and growth of the infrastructure. Provide hands-on support for end-user devices, ensuring smooth operation and troubleshooting hardware and software issues. Assist with the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure. Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues to ensure a stable and efficient network environment. Help manage and maintain servers and storage systems, ensuring they are functioning optimally. Work closely with other team members, leveraging cross-functional access to the full IT infrastructure. Assist with vulnerability assessments and the maintenance of security protocols. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their IT needs and resolve technical issues promptly. Stay current with the latest technologies and best practices in IT support, networking, and cybersecurity. Take the initiative to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance the IT infrastructure. Contribute to a collaborative environment, sharing knowledge and expertise across different areas of the system. The ideal candidate must have: At least 2 years of experience in a Level 2 generalist role, preferably within an IT Managed Service Provider or a similar broad IT environment. Microsoft certifications are highly valued. Ability to translate complex IT concepts into clear, concise, and approachable language, whether on the phone, via email, or in person. Backups and DR technology experience Azure AD and hosting services Network config and troubleshooting including VPN, DNS, wireless LAN Switches, routers, firewalls Windows Desktops in AD & Azure environments Windows Server, Group Policy, Remote Desktop Services, Microsoft Exchange VMware / Hyper-V virtualisation Working with Lucas Restaurants: We exist to see our team succeed.
