Solutions Engineer, South Pacific — Melbourne, Melbourne Region

Description About the Role We’re on the lookout for a Solution Engineer who is part tech expert, part sales consultant, and all about creating exceptional customer experiences. You'll work closely with our Sales team and channel partners across ANZ to provide pre-sales technical expertise, guide complex solution design, and ensure the success of VMS implementations in a wide range of industries—from airports to retail chains. You’ll enjoy a hands-on, client-facing role where your insights and technical know-how will drive business outcomes, innovation, and long-term customer relationships. Whether you’re onsite conducting a demo , solving a problem, or advising on the best system design for a multi-site installation, you’ll be our customers’ go-to expert. Must have full working rights in Melbourne and/or Sydney of Australia. Key Responsibilities: Provide expert pre-sales consultation and support to customers, resellers, and distributors in ANZ. Support video surveillance tenders, RFPs, and project scoping with technical inputs and solution architecture. Deliver live demonstrations, technical presentations, and hands-on training sessions to partners and prospects. Act as a technical advisor in meetings, trade shows, exhibitions, and customer events. Collaborate closely with the Sales team to deliver best-in-class technical guidance throughout the sales cycle. Stay up to date with the latest VMS developments and proactively share knowledge with the team. Maintain detailed customer records and interactions via Salesforce CRM. You’ll Thrive in This Role if You Have: A degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field. 5 years of experience working in B2B technology pre-sales or technical consulting. Hands-on knowledge of IP networks, Microsoft Windows environments, and VMS platforms (Milestone XProtect experience is a plus). Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft MCSE. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical ideas for non-technical audiences. A proactive, customer-first mindset and a love for solving challenges. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. Bonus Points if You Also Have: Prior exposure to security systems, cameras, or IoT technologies. A curious mindset and a passion for lifelong learning. Ready to Make an Impact?
