Junior Test Automation Engineer — Sydney, Sydney Region

The Junior Test Automation Engineer will deliver Testing services for IT Operations and Applications (projects and BAU), including automated software testing per the Solution Development Methodology (SDM). Sydney location From $78,720 - $82,842 (depending on experience) 15.4% superannuation Permanent position Applications close at 11:59pm AEST, 22 April 2025 The team Information Technology Services delivers diverse IT support to ASIC, driving major projects in virtualization, data analytics, mobility, and cloud to advance our technology transformation. The role As the Junior Test Automation Engineer, you will conduct testing across different System Readiness test phases such as Systems Test, Systems Integration Test, UAT etc. with specific focus on Test Automation. You will also: Prepare test documentation (strategies, plans, conditions, cases) per ASIC's System Delivery Methodology (SDM). Conduct System Readiness testing (Systems Test, Integration Test, UAT) with a focus on automation. Develop and execute automation scripts for regression and verification testing. Track and resolve defects, managing releases. Generate test reports and statistics. Build and refine functional regression automation for OneASIC Platform projects. Design and implement end to end automation regression tests across ASIC business units. Develop and deploy API testing. Enhance automation testing solutions. Report daily automation regression results in DevOps, attending bug triage sessions. Collaborate with BAs, developers, and business teams to integrate automation in projects. Perform automated regression testing across multiple environments, including production. Manage DevOps automation branches and merge changes for CRM and ASIC release train. • Define and implement automation test strategy for ASIC release train. Plan and migrate automation solutions to DevOps cloud and cloud test agents. Establish and maintain test automation plans in DevOps. Review key project artefacts (Business Requirements, Functional Requirements) and peer testing documentation. About you Combined with your strong verbal and written communication skills, you will also demonstrate: A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology A minimum of 1 years' experience in test automation and performance testing is highly desirable. Ability to program in C# or Java ideal Experience with Selenium well regarded SQL beneficial You will have a testing mindset, with some manual testing experience Other useful tools: MS DevOps and CI/CD integration API interface automation tools Microsoft Visual Studio Databricks View the position description for more information or click ‘apply' to start your application.
