Applicants must have a mimimum of 3 years experience as a Design Engineer, for OHTL and Power Transmission systems, with strong understanding of TransGrid standards being a distinct advantage. ABOUT YOU: As a design engineer with sound experince in high voltage transmission line design and construction, you will be joing a team responsible for the planning, design, and implementation of electrical transmission infrastructure projects. This role makes a critrical contribution in ensuring that all designs meet technical, safety, and regulatory standards while optimising cost-effectiveness and efficiency. Working within the in-house design team at the head office, collaborating closely with peers to deliver innovative solutions, you will also work with other departments, stakeholders, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution. ABOUT THE ROLE: Working on the planning, design, and execution of high-voltage transmission line projects. Constributing technical d esign expertise to meet technical, safety, and regulatory standards. Working with the parameters to o ptimise cost-efficiency and ensure adherence to project timelines. Collaborating with the in-house design team at the head office to deliver high-quality solutions. Collaborate with internal departments, stakeholders, and external contractors for smooth project execution. Review and improve design processes to align with industry best practices and evolving standards. Provide technical knowledge and support to the design team throughout project phases. Engage in effective communication and coordination between design and construction teams. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Valid Australian work rights Driver Licence White Card Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical or Civil engineering or Structural Engineering, or a related field. Strong knowledge of relevant technical and regulatory standards. SKILLS AND ABILITIES Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and project design. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Hands on skills with with construction software (PLS CADD & similar).
