Site Engineer — Hamilton, Newcastle Area

ConsultANZ is seeking a Site Engineer for a leading contractor in Hamilton. The company specializes in drainage, earthworks, and subdivisions, managing projects such as pipelines, water mains, and sewer mains. Main Duties Oversee and coordinate civil construction projects, including drainage, earthworks, and subdivision works. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. Supervise on-site activities and liaise with foremen, supervisors, and subcontractors. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work meets project specifications and regulatory requirements. Track project costs, review subcontractor valuations, and manage financial aspects accordingly. Maintain accurate records, reports, and project documentation. Responsibilities Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Experience: 2–4 years of post-graduate experience in civil construction (drainage, earthworks, subdivisions, pipelines, watermains, sewer mains). Technical Skills: Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction methods, and industry regulations. Problem-Solving: Ability to handle site challenges and implement practical solutions. Communication: Excellent leadership and teamwork skills to collaborate with project stakeholders. Autonomy: Capable of working independently and making informed decisions.
