Network Engineer — Collingwood, Yarra Area

Responsibilities: Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless systems). Manage Next-Generation Firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, Meraki). Configure network components of virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM). Troubleshoot network issues (Layers 1-3, Cisco technologies). Implement and manage VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), VPN, SD-WAN. Design and implement network failover topologies. Participate in network security initiatives (vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, security audits). Lead client-facing and internal IT projects. Monitor network performance and optimize. Maintain accurate network documentation and diagrams. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team. Participate in an on-call rotation (1 in 6 weeks). Qualifications: 8 years of hands-on network engineering experience. Strong understanding of Cisco networking technologies. Experience with Next-Generation Firewall platforms. Knowledge of routing protocols, VLANs, VPN, SD-WAN. Familiarity with network monitoring tools. Bonus Points For: Experience with Cloudflare or other ZTNA technologies. Virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V). Cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP). Automation/Scripting skills (Python, Ansible). Network automation tools. Mandatory Requirements: Driver's license.
