About the Role We are looking for a motivated and experienced individual to join our dynamic Engineering team. In this exciting and rewarding role, you will support both the Engineering and Production teams through product design and development, solving technical challenges, leading quality assurance processes, and continuously improving our products and documentation. Your work will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth, timely, and efficient manufacturing and delivery of our products and projects. This is a hands-on role where you’ll have the chance to work on both new and existing product designs, making a direct impact on the success of our products and projects. Please note: Physical attendance at Ropes Crossing office and St Marys facility is required, with occasional travel. Remote working conditions are not available for this role. Key Responsibilities: Full-time Hours based in Sydney Provide essential engineering support to production teams, ensuring smooth operations Be involved in product design, development and engineering , working on both new and existing products and projects Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues , helping keep production moving Collaborate daily with the Engineering, Management, and Production teams to drive results. Lead quality assurance efforts, including inspections, investigations, and reporting Record and track issues, non-conformances, feedback, and improvements to support continuous growth Take charge of improvement engineering by designing and revising CAD models and drawings Maintain and organise engineering and production-related documentation , such as procedures, work methods, costings, and Bills of Materials Support the management team with a variety of tasks and projects. Inspect, test, and report the design & performance of equipment. Skills & Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 5 years’ experience designing equipment or machinery within a manufacturing industry or production environment. Project Management experience desirable Proficiency in Microsoft Systems Proficiency in using 3D CAD software including FEA (Solid works preferred, but not essential) A strong understanding of steel fabrication, welding and machining.
