Asset Integrity Engineer — Perth, Perth Region

This critical division provides expert consultation and ensures technical excellence in operations across the globe. This is your opportunity to work at the forefront of Asset Integrity Management Systems (AIMS), contributing to the safety, reliability, and long-term performance of vital energy infrastructure. Role Overview As an Asset Integrity Engineer, you will lead initiatives that safeguard and enhance the integrity of infrastructure assets throughout their entire lifecycle—from design and construction through to decommissioning. You’ll play a pivotal role in standard-setting, innovation, and consultation across some of the largest and most complex energy facilities in the world. You will support both operating facilities and major capital projects, act as a key point of contact for technical reviews, and lead the implementation of global best practices in asset integrity and process safety. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic guidance on Asset Integrity Management Systems (AIMS) across all lifecycle phases of critical energy assets. Define technical integrity and process safety targets while helping establish and enforce internal standards. Review and advise on major capital projects, acting as the engineering focal point for both in-Kingdom and international teams. Lead the integration and improvement of long-term AIMS programs across refineries, gas plants, LNG terminals, pipelines, and more. Conduct technical studies aimed at enhancing operational reliability and performance. Benchmark company practices against global standards, including ASME and API, and contribute to risk management initiatives. Establish assurance systems to verify that safety-critical assets remain fit for purpose. Promote innovation and the adoption of Asset Performance Management tools and solutions. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred). Minimum 20 years’ experience in Asset Integrity Engineering within the oil and gas industry. In-depth knowledge of international codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API). Certified Fundamental Engineer (F.E.) or equivalent licensure. Strong expertise in RBI, FFS, Asset Life Extension, Decommissioning, and Asset Performance Management (APM). Exceptional communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
