The Role As a Senior Mechatronics Engineer, you will join the Mechatronics technology development team, acting as an internal subject matter expert. You will take technologies from the ideation stage to proof of concept, fostering creativity and innovation through a culture that values failure as a pathway to success. Key Responsibilities: Ideate, prototype, test and de-risk technology concepts that address unmet needs in the medical field Own the mechatronics aspects of the technology development team, providing expert insights into both new and existing projects Conduct research, document findings and present comprehensive reports to both internal and external stakeholders Analyse data to identify trends, translating these insights into actionable recommendations Utilise a trial-and-error approach to design and develop prototypes that explore various areas of interest Formulate engineering solutions to tackle complex problems, integrating the expertise of team members and encouraging collaboration Foster open communication and teamwork among colleagues, creating an environment where all ideas are valued and explored Display and encourage discipline in concept definition, experimental design, and risk management while leading by example Develop effective relationships with external experts in strategic technical disciplines Skills and experience We are looking for a creative, senior engineer with a background in in-house development, consultancy, or academia, and proven experience in developing technological innovations. You should be a subject matter expert in electromechanical systems, thriving in a dynamic, start-up culture where problem-solving and collaboration are key.
